Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Leymah Roberta Gbowee, to join hands with Friends of Victoire to advocate for Madame Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza.

Leymah Gbowee, met with Marie-Lyse Numuhoza, in The Hague, Netherlands on 27th April 2015 and discussed about Prisoner of Conscience Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza and about Friends of Victoire Movement. Leymah expressed her interested in finding out more about Victoire Ingabire story and  about joining hands with Friends of Victoire.

Leymah Roberta Gbowee is a Liberian peace activist responsible for leading a women’s peace movement that helped bring an end to the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003. In addition to being a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Leymah is also a recipient of the 2009 Gruber Prize for Women’s Rights, recipient of the 2009 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award and recipient of the Women’s eNews 2008 Leaders for the 21st Century Award.
